World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4 with every Classic flight path still in place and five new flight points: Farholde Keep, Rog’mar and Powderfuse Port in the Riverglades, and Tainted Foothills and Summit of Eternity on Mount Hyjal. This guide to WoW Forever flight paths maps every flight point for both factions, lists every boat, zeppelin and skyship, and shows the quickest ways across the world while you level.
The bigger travel change is at sea. Blizzard’s Found Photos panel recap confirms three new ship routes: Stormwind Harbor to Auberdine, a Menethil Harbor boat that now also stops at Southshore, and a Steamwheedle Cartel boat from Tanaris to Powderfuse Port in the Riverglades. Skyborne leave Zephras Isle by skyship. There is still no flying.
How solid this is: Blizzard hasn’t published a flight path list. Ours is datamined from the newest beta client (build 1.60.1.70374, October 13) and compared with Classic Era, placed on Forever’s own maps. The beta stops at level 30, so the Riverglades and Mount Hyjal flight points are untested. The rest of the launch is in our WoW Forever hub.
WoW Forever Flight Paths at a Glance
WoW Forever only adds: every flight point and every direct route of Classic Era is still in the beta client with the same endpoints. The counts below leave out the druid-only flights to Nighthaven.
| Faction and continent | Flight points (Classic) | Direct routes (Classic) | New flight points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alliance, Eastern Kingdoms | 18 (16) | 39 (35) | Farholde Keep, Powderfuse Port |
| Alliance, Kalimdor | 18 (16) | 32 (30) | Tainted Foothills, Summit of Eternity |
| Horde, Eastern Kingdoms | 13 (12) | 26 (22) | Rog’mar |
| Horde, Kalimdor | 21 (19) | 48 (46) | Tainted Foothills, Summit of Eternity |
Neutral flight points (Ratchet, Marshal’s Refuge and both on Mount Hyjal) count for both factions. wowforever.be found the same from an earlier build.
The Five New Flight Points in WoW Forever
The five new flight points bring 11 new direct routes in the beta client: four from Farholde Keep, four from Rog’mar and three on Mount Hyjal. Coordinates are zone map positions.
| Flight point | Location | Faction | Flies to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Farholde Keep | Riverglades 60.6, 81.6 | Alliance | Lakeshire, Thelsamar, Morgan’s Vigil, Powderfuse Port |
| Rog’mar | Riverglades 59.6, 45.1 | Horde | Stonard, Kargath, Flame Crest, Hammerfall |
| Powderfuse Port | Riverglades 76.8, 53.0 | Alliance (see below) | Farholde Keep only |
| Tainted Foothills | Mount Hyjal 55.1, 82.5 | Both | Everlook, Summit of Eternity |
| Summit of Eternity | Mount Hyjal 68.6, 44.1 | Both | Tainted Foothills only |

Powderfuse Port is the odd one. The client holds two flight masters there, one with a gryphon and one with a wind rider, but only the Alliance one has a route (a short hop to Farholde Keep), and neither is flagged for a faction’s flight map yet. Our read: it isn’t finished. Horde players arriving by boat should plan to ride inland to Rog’mar.
Mount Hyjal’s two flight points serve both factions. Tainted Foothills links to Everlook in Winterspring, Summit of Eternity only to Tainted Foothills. Shen’dralas and Zephras Isle have no flight point at all.
WoW Forever Alliance Flight Path Map

Stormwind and Ironforge are the Alliance hubs, linked by the Deeprun Tram as in Classic. Darnassus still has no flight master: you land at Rut’theran Village below Teldrassil and take the portal up. Dalaran has no flight master either; Southshore is the closest, a ride south-east of the city.
WoW Forever Horde Flight Path Map

The Horde network in the Eastern Kingdoms stays thin: no flight point in the Wetlands, Westfall, Duskwood, Redridge or Loch Modan. Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands matters more than before, since it reaches both the Wetlands by road and the Riverglades by air (the Rog’mar route).
All WoW Forever Flight Point Locations
Every flight point with its zone map coordinates for each faction, from the beta client. Cities use the city map. Forever redrew some maps, Stormwind and Redridge among them, so Classic coordinate lists are off there.

WoW Forever Boats, Zeppelins and Skyships
WoW Forever keeps every Classic boat and zeppelin and adds three ship routes, all confirmed by Blizzard and all present in the beta client’s path data, plus two skyships from Zephras Isle.

| Route | Type | Side | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stormwind Harbor – Auberdine | Boat | Alliance | New, confirmed by Blizzard |
| Menethil Harbor – Southshore – Auberdine | Boat | Alliance | New Southshore stop, confirmed |
| Menethil Harbor – Theramore | Boat | Alliance | Classic |
| Auberdine – Rut’theran Village | Boat | Alliance | Classic |
| Feralas coast – Feathermoon | Boat | Alliance | Classic |
| Booty Bay – Ratchet | Boat | Neutral | Classic |
| Steamwheedle Port (Tanaris) – Powderfuse Port | Boat | Neutral | New, confirmed by Blizzard |
| Orgrimmar – Tirisfal Glades (Undercity) | Zeppelin | Horde | Classic |
| Orgrimmar – Grom’gol | Zeppelin | Horde | Classic |
| Tirisfal Glades – Grom’gol | Zeppelin | Horde | Classic |
| Valanaar (Zephras Isle) – Dalaran | Skyship | Alliance | New, beta-tested |
| Valanaar – Skywatcher Plateau (Mulgore) | Skyship | Horde | New, beta-tested |
Where the new boats dock, from the path data: the Stormwind boat uses the new harbor west of the city (21.8, 56.8 on the Stormwind map), Southshore’s stop is on the coast south of town (Hillsbrad 50.7, 70.5), and the Steamwheedle boat runs from Steamwheedle Port east of Gadgetzan (Tanaris 68.6, 23.0) to Powderfuse Port (Riverglades 80.6, 54.6). In Menethil, the Auberdine boat leaves from the northern pier and the Theramore boat from the southern one.
One trade-off: in the path data, the Southshore stop adds about 3,100 yards of sailing between Menethil and Auberdine (7,100 yards against 3,900 on the old direct route), so expect a slower round trip than in Classic. That’s our reading of the data; nobody has timed it yet.
How to Cross Between Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms
Alliance: the new Stormwind Harbor boat is the direct link, which Blizzard calls “an early path between the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor”. Night Elves can take it to Westfall and the Hall of Thanes, and Humans, Dwarves and Gnomes to Darkshore. Menethil Harbor still serves Theramore and Auberdine, and both neutral boats work too.
Horde: the Orgrimmar zeppelins to Tirisfal Glades and Grom’gol stay the main crossings, with Booty Bay to Ratchet as a backup. The Steamwheedle boat adds a third, landing in the Riverglades around the level you’d go there anyway.
Skyborne Travel: Skyships and the Dalaran Portal
Skyborne leave Zephras Isle at level 12 by skyship from Valanaar. The Alliance ship docks on the north side of Dalaran (Alterac Mountains 12.8, 51.2 in the path data), the Horde ship at the Skywatcher Plateau north of Thunder Bluff (Mulgore 34.3, 26.1). According to Warcraft Tavern, a portal in Dalaran’s Violet Citadel near the dock sends Alliance Skyborne to the Mage Tower in Stormwind. Horde Skyborne walk down to Thunder Bluff.
Icy Veins reported in late September that any race can ride the skyships to Zephras Isle in the beta, but the Skyborne portals in Stormwind and Orgrimmar only work for Skyborne. Assume the Dalaran portal is Skyborne-only too until someone shows otherwise. Our Skyborne race guide covers Zephras Isle.
Travel Tips for Leveling in WoW Forever
Horde to the Wetlands
The Wetlands has no Horde flight point. Fly to Hammerfall, ride south over Thandol Span, and grab Dragonmaw Rumors from Zaruk in Hammerfall on the way to the Excavation Site: Wetlands.
Alliance to Tirisfal Glades
For the Ruins of Lordaeron, take the Menethil boat and get off at Southshore (Night Elves can board in Auberdine), or fly to Southshore if you have it. Then ride west into Silverpine Forest and north into Tirisfal, through Horde land.
Reaching the Riverglades
Alliance: fly to Lakeshire and ride in from Redridge (Warcraft Wiki names Blackrock Pass and Redridge Pass), then pick up Farholde Keep. Horde: fly to Flame Crest in the Burning Steppes, the closest Horde flight point, and ride east to Rog’mar (Blizzard lists the Burning Steppes among the zones the Riverglades connects to). From Kalimdor, fly to Gadgetzan and take the Steamwheedle boat. Our WoW Forever leveling guide slots the zone at 37 to 42, and WoW Forever zones by level has the ranges around it.
Mount Hyjal at 60
Fly to Everlook, ride through Darkwhisper Gorge and talk to the Tainted Foothills flight master. From then on, Everlook flies you straight in.
Plan dungeon trips
Meeting stones can’t summon, according to a developer interview reported by Zockify, so everyone travels to the entrance. Our new dungeon locations guide names the nearest flight point for each new dungeon. You only fly to flight points you’ve visited, so talk to every flight master you pass.
WoW Forever Flight Path Speed and Flying
Blizzard hasn’t announced a change to flight speed and no beta note mentions one, so expect Classic flight times (nobody has published a side-by-side test). The only boost in the beta data is the Frequent Flier Legacy perk: flights 50% cheaper and 20% faster, a capstone behind 10 points in the Adventure tree (see our Legacy System guide).
There are no flying mounts at any level; Blizzard’s What’s Next panel recap rules flying out. Your ground mount is the real speed upgrade, and our WoW Forever mount guide has the datamined level 40 and 60 riding costs.
What We Don’t Know Yet
- Horde at Powderfuse Port. The wind rider exists in the data without a route.
- A sixth flight point. The client has an unused one at Tidegear Coast in Dun Morogh, with no routes and no faction flag.
- A Dalaran flight. The path data also holds a one-way flight from Dalaran to the Stormwind gryphon master, tied to no flight point. Who offers it is unknown.
- Boat timings. Nobody has timed the new routes.
- Levels 30 to 60. The beta cap keeps the Riverglades and Mount Hyjal flight points untested until launch.
FAQ
Is there a zeppelin to Thunder Bluff in WoW Forever?
No. The beta client has the three Classic zeppelins (Orgrimmar to Tirisfal Glades and Grom’gol, and Tirisfal to Grom’gol) and no Thunder Bluff line. The only airship in Mulgore is the Skyborne skyship to Zephras Isle.
Is there a boat from Stormwind in WoW Forever?
Yes. Blizzard confirmed a boat from the new Stormwind Harbor, west of the city, to Auberdine in Darkshore.
How do you take the boat to Southshore?
Board the Auberdine boat at Menethil Harbor’s northern pier, or in Auberdine. Blizzard confirmed the Menethil, Southshore and Auberdine route.
How do you get to Mount Hyjal in WoW Forever?
Through Darkwhisper Gorge in Winterspring. Fly to Everlook, ride in and pick up the Tainted Foothills flight point.
