The Molten Core – MC Attunement
The Molten Core is the first major Raid in Classic World of Warcraft, along with Onyxia’s Lair. There are 10 bosses here, including the legendary Ragnaros. In order to be able to enter this raid, every player needs to have completed the attunement quest. Here is a map of the Blackrock Depths, it will be useful to complete the Molten Core Attunement (source: Atlas Addon):
WoW Forever doesn’t start with Molten Core: the game is set before it, and the first raids, unlocking on December 9, are Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and a 40-player Onyxia’s Lair. Our WoW Forever release date and raid timeline lists every date through the 2027 roadmap.
How to complete the “Attunement to the core” Quest
- First, you need to enter the Blackrock and go down the chains, all the way down through the center island, above the lava sea.
- There, inside a small alcove, you will find a high elf called Lothos Riftwalker. He will provide you with the quest “Attunement to the Core“
- To complete this quest, you need to enter the Blackrock Depths (BRD). After the Summoner’s Tomb, where the fight against the seven dwarves happens, instead going towards the Emperor fight, turn right.
- After the bridge, you can already see the entrance to the Molten Core. To the left of the entrance, on the wall, pick up the Core Fragment that is required for the quest.
- Once you have the fragment, return to Lothos Riftwalker and turn in the quest “Attunement to the Core“.
Congratulations! You have completed the Molten Core Attunement.
I might be late, but that is not all there is to the quest. what about all those bosses and getting through the areas that seem to have no entrance? this is just a tiny bit- and I am disappointed Icantr seem to navigate to some areas and no one has a blog on how and where.
