How to get the Shattered Halls Key

In order to get the Key to the Shattered Halls Dungeon in Hellfire Peninsula, players must follow a quest chain. This Quest chain is started by killing Smith Gorlunk in Shadowmoon Valley. In this post, I’ll walk you through the quest line for Alliance and Horde.

What you will need

In order to complete the quest chain for the Shattered Halls key, you will need the following Materials:

  • 4x Mote of Fire
  • 2x Arcane Dust
  • 4x Fel Iron Bar

Alliance Key Guide

  • Kill Smith Gorlunk, loot the Primed Key Mold and start the quest.
  • Bring the Primed Key Mold to Dumphry north-west of Honor Hold, Hellfire Peninsula
  • Bring the required materials to Dumphry:
    • 4x Mote of Fire
    • 2x Arcane Dust
    • 4x Fel Iron Bar
  • Use the body of a Fel Reaver to forge the key in its fires. You don’t need to kill it yourself.

Horde Key Guide

  • Kill Smith Gorlunk, loot the Primed Key Mold and start the quest.
  • Bring the Primed Key Mold to Rohok in Thrallmar, Hellfire Peninsula
  • Bring the required materials to Rohok:
    • 4x Mote of Fire
    • 2x Arcane Dust
    • 4x Fel Iron Bar
  • Use the body of a Fel Reaver to forge the key in its fires. You don’t need to kill it yourself.
