In this Guide, you’ll learn about all quests taking place in the Ragefire Chasm dungeon, as well as the most important things to keep in mind when heading in when playing Classic Hardcore.
List of Dungeon Quests and Where to find them
1. Slaying the Beast
Slaying the Beast is pretty straight forward – head into Ragefire Chasm and defeat Taragaman the Hungerer. This quest can be accepted and completed in Orgrimmar at Neeru Fireblade.
2. Searching for the Lost Satchel
For Searching for the Lost Satchel, you’ll need to do some searching in the Ragefire Chasm – look out for Maur Grimtotems corpse and search it for his satchel. To start this quest, head to Rahauro in Thunder Bluff. When you are done, deliver the satchel to Rahauro.
3. Testing an Enemy’s Strength
As with the previous quest, Testing an Enemy’s Strength is started at Rahauro. That’s another straight forward quest, asking you to slay eight Ragefire Trogg and Ragefire Shamans. Sounds pretty easy, right?
4. The Power to Destroy…
The Power to Destroy… is started in the Undercity at Varimathras. For this, you need to collect two books from the enemies in the Ragefire Chasm. Both are dropped by Elite Searing Blade Cultists and Warlocks. The Books you are looking for are “Spells of Shadow” and “Incantation from the Nether”.
5. Hidden Enemies
This actually is a follow-up quest from the quest with the same name. For this one, you’ll have to defeat Bazzalan as well as Jergosh the Invoker.
What to watch out for in Ragefire Chasm
Keep in mind that all these quests are Horde-only. Our top advice is to pick up all quests before heading into the Ragefire Chasm, since all of them are unlocked upon reaching Level 9.
There are a couple of things you should keep an eye on when heading in. Although lava looks shiny and pretty, it’s not there for decoration. So keep your distance, as a short dip can lead to heavy damage and even death, ending your hardcore journey early.
Also, beware of the mobs lurking right at the entrance of the dungeon. Enter it ready to fight!
Lastly, be aware of the Ragefire Shamans, as they are very dangerous caster mobs. They come in densely packed rooms and can chain pull multiple packs. Also, their spells can cause very high damage, so range pull them until they are in close range.
Thanks for reading, and we hope to see you guys around!
