Introduction Mountain Silversage farming
In order to gather Mountain Silversage, farmers require a Herbalism skill of 280. It is one of the high-end herbs and generally grows on mountains and hills. This makes farming here quite lucrative when combined with Mining, since Thorium Ore, for example, also likes to spawn on or near hills.
Un’Goro Crater Herbalism & Mining
While Un’Goro Crater doesn’t have the most spawns of Mountain Silversage, if you have the Mining profession as well, you might find this zone amazing. Here, most of the Thorium Ore is found around the edges of the zone, just like Mountain Silversage is. Just make a big circle around the edge! In addition to this, you might encounter less competition in this zone, than in the other high level zones.
Winterspring Mountain Silversage farming
Winterspring has the most spawns and the advantage that you can also find Black Lotus on this route, if you’re lucky. You might encounter a bit higher competition here, though, since Winterspring is quite popular with farmers. One disadvantage of farming Mountain Silversage specifically here, is that the zone is quite large and spread out. To combat this, you can skip the northern part of this route, which has a lower density of herbs.

Eastern Plaguelands
Eastern Plaguelands. This zone comes up so often that I’m starting to think it is the best zone for farming in general. You can find Black Lotus here, quite a lot of Rich Thorium Veins, which are good for farming Arcane Crystals, and of course, Mountain Silversage, along with other herbs.
The only disadvantage here is the high competition, since it is very easy to reach this zone by both factions. Also, if you are farming for Mountain Silversage specifically, you should skip the north-western part of the zone. Like this:
