Lockbox & Junkbox Skill Levels
The regular lockboxes have uncommon quality, and they can drop from any monster, just like a regular uncommon item. You can help other players with opening their lockboxes and skill up at the same time. So, here comes the Lockpicking Guide! First, a list of Lockbox Types that you can open, in order of Skill Level:

Junkboxes can only be obtained via pick pocketing by Rogues. The Junkbox that you get depends on the level of Humanoid that you picked. A good place to farm Heavy Junkboxes is LBRS. You can stealth through there and pick all the mobs for their boxes.

Lockpicking Guide: Dungeon Doors
Unlocking Dungeon doors also provides skill points for Lockpicking. There is a timer of about 15 minutes, though, so you can’t just spam it. It can be reset by getting a skillup in any other profession, including secondary professions.

Useful Tips for Leveling Lockpicking in WotLK
There is an item, craftable by Leatherworkers, that increases your Lockpicking skill by 5 points. These Dark Leather Gloves can come in very handy when you are missing a couple of points for the next step in leveling your Lockpicking skill.
In addition to that, you can continuously open some doors in Dungeons to get your skill up. For example, a good way to get the last few point to 300 Skill are the doors in BRD. There are a bunch of doors to open right at the start. Even the Shadowforge can be picked if you are very careful with your positioning, because picking it will un-stealth you. cant use scholo door to level more than 1 level of lockpicking in tbc classic
You can’t open the dented lockers in The Slag Pit at 200 skill. I’m 210 and still can’t get them. Do not go there.
Yes, there are also 225ers around there. You should be able to find 200ers, too, though.
