Where to farm Fel Iron Ore in TBC
In order to get Fel Iron, you will need to mine Fel Iron Deposits which require a Mining skill of 300+. While some Fel Iron spawns in every zone, the best zones to farm Fel Iron by far are: Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh and Shadowmoon Valley.
Hellfire Peninsula
With over 250 spawn locations, Hellfire Peninsula has by far the most Fel Iron Ore in the game. Of course, you won’t find much, if any, other ore veins here. Hellfire Peninsula is your best bet for Fel Iron Farming if you want to farm that specifically, and nothing else. Here’s a map of all the spawn locations:
Zangarmarsh
While Zangarmarsh has fewer Fel Iron Deposits overall, there are also about as many Adamantite Deposits here. It’s the perfect zone for mixing your results evenly between Fel Iron and Adamantite. I recommend doing a very large circle around the edges of the zone, as this is where most of the ore deposits are.
Shadowmoon Valley
Because Shadowmoon Valley is a high-level zone, you have a good chance of catching some Khorium Veins here. Keep in mind that most of the Fel Iron Deposits are close to the inner mountain area and demonic areas. I recommend checking the Netherwing Isle occasionally, since there are a bunch of Khorium Veins that can spawn here.
